SMARTvote for LINX ERS recently managed the proxy voting and AGM scrutineering for the London Internet Exchange (LINX). Members were able to cast their proxy votes using either post, or via a bespoke voting website designed and managed by ERS. For delegates attending the AGM, all votes were cast using SMARTvote. By using these hand-held devices to vote on the matters of the day members were able to see the results of the votes cast in real-time – saving time and giving the meeting the modern feel it warranted. Cambridge Building Society Once again Electoral Reform Services provided AGM voting and scrutineering services to Cambridge Building Society. For the first time the voting business of the AGM was undertaken using ERS’s SMARTvote (handheld voting) system. Commenting on ERS, Cambridge Building Society said "Your professional service and support were fantastic this year and made a real difference to the running and presentation of the Society's Annual General Meeting. A key success to the running of the operation was the use of hand held electronic voting devices. This not only reduced the time taken to record votes but also provided fantastic visibility of the results to members” SMARTvote was declared to be “A must have device for AGMs." Posted: 11/05/2011 |
